FAQ
How long does microblading last?
All treatments that are on offer last roughly between 12-18 months. The amount of time they last for will depend on a few various factors including the aftercare during the healing process, sun exposure, skin type and how you look after the treatment area once it has healed completely.
Does it hurt?
Different clients say different things regarding the pain of semi permanent make up procedures. Some find it uncomfortable, but by using enough numbing cream, some say they can't feel a thing! Rather than being painful, these treatments are more of an uncomfortable feeling when no numbing agent is used but we would still recommend using some to make it as comfortable as possible for you!
Do you provide numbing cream?
Unfortunately, due to legalities, we are unable to provide numbing cream but can recommend the best brands and where to get them from as long as you apply them yourself! To make the procedure as comfortable and easy for you as possible, we would always recommend using some.
Are different pigment shades available for each client?
For every treatment, there is a selection of various pigments to choose from. Before your appointment, you'll be asked a few questions regarding your skin type and skin tone and these will determine what the best shades are for you. There are lots to choose from so every clients desires can be catered to!
How long does the procedure take?
The time it takes is usually around 1 hour, but each appointment is booked to allow extra time if needed to ensure you're happy with the final result!
Microblading
Will I be able to see the shape before it is tattooed?
For all treatments, the shape is drawn on before we get started and much time is taken to make small changes to the shape so that you are entirely happy with what your new brows or lips will look like!
What is the necessary aftercare?
For at least 7 days following your treatment, or until the area appears to have completely healed, you should be following this daily routine:
1. Use a gentle face cleanser and avoid the treatment area.
2. If the treatment area does get wet, pat it dry gently with a tissue or clean towel.
3. Apply your treatment ointment (which is given to you after your appointment) to the area 3 times a day, making sure you wash your hands thoroughly before and after each application to avoid infection.

Things not to do:
-
Do not use make up on or around the treatment area for 7 days afterwards.
-
Do not expose the treated area to extreme heat or cold until it is completely healed. This includes saunas, sun bathing, tanning beds etc.
-
Do not scratch, pick, itch or rub the area of the treatment, as this will cause uneven healing, infection, scarring and can remove the pigment.

Please remember that the colour is darker immediately after treatment. It will fade after 4-7 days and the true colour will not come through until 4-6 weeks after the initial treatment.
Piercing
What piercings do you offer?
We offer all ear and body piercings except microdermals, oral and intimate piercings. However, our solid gold jewellery is limited to just ear, nose, septum and navel piercings. Others will be done with highly polished titanium, a hypoallergenic material available in both silver and gold colours. Don’t worry, there’s still a huge range of titanium jewellery to choose from!
How many piercings can I have in one appointment?
This varies from person to person and depends on the placement of the piercings you’d like to have, as well as any potential healing issues that could occur. If you’d like to find out whether you’d be able to have multiple piercings in one appointment, we advise getting in touch or booking a free in-person consultation.
What material do you pierce with?
Most piercings are done with pieces from a huge range of solid gold jewellery, supplied by Tish Lyon. This includes all ear piercings, nose, septum and navel. All other piercings are done using highly polished titanium, which is hypoallergenic and available in both silver and gold colours.
There’s so much to choose from so if you’d like to browse the collection, please get in touch and we’ll be able to send over images and prices for you!
When can I change my jewellery? And can you do this for me?
This will slightly vary with each piercing and each client. Depending on the piercing, you may be able to change your jewellery between 6-12 weeks but we would always recommend waiting longer than advised if your piercing is taking slightly longer to heal. If you’re unsure, don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll be happy to take a look at your piercing to see whether it’s ready!
We also offer jewellery changes for a charge of just £15. We’re able to change your current piercing to one of our pieces when purchased from us, even if you weren’t pierced by ourselves.
What is the necessary aftercare?
Clean your piercing twice a day front and back with saline solution, either soaking or using a clean cotton bud. This should be done for a minimum of 6 months (or 2-3 for lobes). Before cleaning your piercing, make sure you wash your hands thoroughly to avoid any risk of infection.
Avoid swimming for 4 weeks and try not to sleep on or touch your piercing until it's fully healed. Do not twist or turn the jewellery!! If you'd like to change your jewellery, also wait until your piercing is fully healed and feel free to get back in touch for us to do this for you!
